The College of Mechanical and Material Engineering & College of Chemical Engineering and Resource Recycling (co-located office) have 10 undergraduate majors in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Automation, Industrial Design, Automation, Material Forming and Control Engineering, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and Forest Chemical Industry, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Tea Science, Resource Recycling Science and Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, etc. "Mechanical Engineering" in the school is a supporting discipline for the construction of Guangxi Master's Degree Programs, and "Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Automation" is a key discipline in Guangxi. Pharmaceutical Engineering, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Automation are selected as one of the First-class Undergraduate majors in Guangxi and one of the majors with Guangxi characteristics. Scientific research platforms such as "Guangxi Liubao Tea Germplasm Innovation and Comprehensive Utilization Engineering Research Center" at the autonomous district level and "Wuzhou Jewelry Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Technology Research Center" at the municipal level have been established. There are 86 faculty and staff members, including 6 professors, 22 associate professors, 20 doctors and 52 masters, and teachers with Master's and Doctor's degree account for more than 78%. Besides 4 Master Tutors, 29 well-known scholars and experts at home and abroad are hired as part-time/visiting professors. And there are more than 3,000 students.
The College of Mechanical and Material Engineering and College of Chemical Engineering and Resource Recycling have Experimental Teaching Construction Demonstration Center-Mechanical Engineering Training Center, Experimental Center for Mechanical Majors at autonomous district-level (Mechanical Principle Laboratory, Mechatronics Laboratory, CAD/CAM Laboratory, Automatic Control Principle Laboratory, Numerical Control Simulation Laboratory, PLC Laboratory, Mechanical Design Laboratory, Innovative Design Laboratory), Industrial Design Laboratory, Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, Physical Chemistry Laboratory, Chemical Principle, Forest Products Chemical Processing Laboratory, Organic Chemistry Laboratory and Pharmaceutical Engineering Laboratory, which provides a solid platform for the cultivation of students' abilities.
Our students have made great achievements in various professional competitions in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the whole country over the years, and they won the second prize in the National College Students' Mechanical Innovation Competition and got good grades in various numerical control skill competitions, chemical experiment design and skill competitions as well.
