Wuzhou University Alumni Association is a non-profit social organization approved and registered by the Civil Affairs Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The first council members were elected at the Alumni Congress of Wuzhou University in December, 2019. Professor Yang Ben, President of Wuzhou University, serves as the Chairman of the Association.
With the support of school leaders and the alumni, the work of the Alumni Association has been carried out orderly and achieved gratifying results since its founding. At present, more than 100,000 alumni of Wuzhou University are distributed in more than 30 municipalities, provinces, autonomous regions and more than 20 countries. 15 branches of the Wuzhou Universtiy Alumni Association have been established in Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan and other regions and provinces.
Over the years, Wuzhou University Alumni Association, adhering to the principle of "serving alumni, serving alma mater, and serving society", has been inheriting and carrying forward the fine traditions and ethos of the alma mater, and is committed to enhancing friendship and cooperation with alumni home and abroad. The Alumni Association enables alumni to assist alma mater to carry out teaching, scientific research, academic exchanges and foreign cooperation, and plays a positive role in promoting the high-quality development of Wuzhou Univeristy, as well as the economic and social development of Wuzhou.
Looking forward to the future, Wuzhou University faces new development opportunities on the new journey of building China into a modern socialist country in all respects. Wuzhou University Alumni Association will further innovate working methods, and push forward its institutionalization, standardization and informatization. The Alumni Association will also guide the alumni to keep in mind the school motto “VIRTUE KNOWLEDGE TRUTH CREATIVITY”, carry forward the excellent school spirit of “BENEVOLENCE, MAGNANIMILITY, DILIGENCE, METICULOSITY”, and make greater contribution to building Wuzhou University into a high-level application-oriented university with distinctive characteristics !
