WUZHOU UNIVERSITY – HISTORY
Wuzhou University started in 1985 as Guangxi University Wuzhou Branch. In October 2003 Guangxi University Wuzhou Branch merged Wuzhou Institute of Education and Wuzhou Normal College and became the new Guangxi University Wuzhou Branch. In February 2006, the then Guangxi University Wuzhou Branch was granted degree-awarding powers and became Wuzhou University, a general comprehensive university.

Wuzhou University has the enrollment of more than 18,000 students. Wuzhou University offers 51 undergraduate programs. Engineering, management science and economics are the leading subject areas of the University. ElectronicInformationEngineering isbeingconstructedasa nationallevelfirst-class undergraduate program. International Economics and Trade, Software Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation, Product Design and Pharmaceutical Engineering arebeing constructed asthe first-class undergraduateprogramsof Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Tourism Management is a key discipline to be cultivated in Guangxi. Electronic Information Engineering and International Economics and Trade are rated as national distinguished majors. Tourism Management, Art Design, Software Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Chemical and Forestry Engineering, Environmental Design, International Economics and Trade, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation and Product Design are rated as distinguished majors in Guangxi.

Chinese Language Programs
The Chinese Language Program offers Chinese language courses of three levels covering beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. The curriculum of the program includes Speaking, Listening, Comprehensive Chinese, Extensive Reading, Writing, ect. In addition, elective courses such as Chinese Culture, Chinese Calligraphy, Taijiquan, Tea Ceremony, Chinese Music and Dancing are also available.
The Program delivers 30 class hours per week, 18 weeks per semester. Spring-semester lasts from February till June, while Fall-semester September till January of the next year.

How to Apply for Admission
You are welcome to apply for Wuzhou University. Please log on the website to submit your application:https://gxuwz.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx. Please get ready scanned copies of your passport, highest study certificate, transcripts, police clearance, bank statement, and Chinese level certificate and a soft copy of your passport-size photo.
A)Your application will be processed within 30 days. Your JW202 form and study permit will be submitted to government authorities for approval. After your application is approved, your documents will be sent to you via courier. You can apply for X1/X2 visa at your local Chinese embassy or consulate. Then you can come to register at the registration date.
B)Application can be made in June or December each year.
